Workshop description

In this workshop, we would like to spend time with you together on the ice. Whether you want to do long laps around the rink or try out your first skills and elements, you're all welcome to join us! Ranzhan (no pronouns) will be happy to support you in your endeavors, such as:

  • Your first steps on the ice

  • Braking safely without slamming into the railing

  • Skating backwards

  • Crossovers

  • Spinning first steps

The workshop takes place outdoors during public opening hours, so we will be on the ice at the same time as other visitors.

We look forward to seeing you!

Entry and skate rental costs

The workshop itself is free.

Entry to the ice rink costs 4€ (reduced rate 2€). You can check here to see if you're eligible for the reduced rate (the website is only in German).

Skate rental costs 3,50€ for 1 hour, 6€ for 2 hours, and 8€ for 3 hours.

If you cannot afford the admission and skate rental fees, please indicate this when registering or send us an email at info@gladt.de.

If you know that you will definitely be renting skates, please indicate this when registering or let us know by email at info@gladt.de by Friday, 13.02. if possible. If there are enough of us, we can register in advance with the rental company and get a discount. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring your own skates.

IMPORTANT: Please arrive on time at 18:45, otherwise the queue at the entrance and at the skate rental will be very long!

What should I bring?

  • Please take a COVID test beforehand and stay at home if you have any symptoms

  • Gloves (important!)

  • Clothing that allows you to move freely -- ideally, you would be able to move in and out of 1-2 layers if necessary, as it can get quite warm somewhat quickly if you're active

  • A way to carry your valuables with you while skating, for example in your jacket pockets or in a fanny pack -- there are no lockers on site for locking your things away

  • If you wish, your own ice skates
