**@femmefitnessss ** is a workout class in Berlin hosted by Anisha that combines fitness workouts, (a)sexual empowerment and feminist discussions. The routines are for all “fitness” abilities – to reggaeton, desi hip pop, dancehall and much more – and highlight and prioritise femme, queer and BIPoC artists.
Bio: Anisha Müller is an artist and movement teacher from the UK who gives empowerment workshops and talks. She specialises in feminist body practices, with her greatest achievement being founding and teaching the dance workout class: FemmeFitness. Her work is driven by the need to confront and discuss the surveillance of bodies, safe spaces and critical whiteness. With the aim of bringing QTIBIPOC to the fore, she has given workshops in London and Berlin, including with Sophiensaale, Kunsthochschule Weißensee and Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
For this workshop you will need comfortable clothes and water. The classes will be in English, but we can spontaneously translate into German. The choreographies will be performed mainly standing, but also sitting, using all parts of the body for fitness dance choreographies. I encourage participants to adapt the choreographies to their individual needs and preferences and try to offer alternatives.
